Hooray for 2012!

I can’t believe that it’s been just about six months since our last post! We have been on a bit of a wedding hiatus as we have transitioned into parenthood! Being parents is so AMAZING! It is a crazy wonderful bond knowing that we made this adorable little baby. No one could have ever prepared us for how much love, patience, and selflessness goes into a family of three. I feel overwhelmingly blessed just thinking about it.

Okay, so let’s play catch up! We had our baby girl, Selah, on November 20, 2011 (pretty sweet birthday, huh?). We had a beautiful holiday season with family and friends showing off our sweet new little one. Annnnnnd just recently one of my best friends got engaged! Oh man! Talk about experiencing the love of proposals, engagements, and planning all over again. I cannot wait for this beautiful wedding! Super HUGE congrats to Cindy & Hal (pictured below!)!!

Now that we are back in action, we have a few new wedding packages brewing for 2012, along with some weddings already in the works!! Please contact us if you would like our assistance in making your BIG day worry free and smooth as can be!

Sharing the BIG News!

We LOVE hearing about how our clients get engaged! Every couple has their own unique story and it is so fun to hear the details behind the couple and their proposal. "Save the Dates" can also illustrate a lot about who the couple is and what their wedding may be like. We had a great time with ours! We used signs to spell out Save the Date and created a postcard to share the news with our guests.

Pretty in Parasols!

We recently had the privilege of doing a maternity shoot (yay baby!) for our super talented wedding photographer friend, Cassie Lee. Cassie had been working with a fellow vendor that provides parasols as décor and accessories for a variety of events. We got to rock the baby parasols, but these would also be totally cool for a wedding! Parasols were super popular in the ‘70s for brides and bridesmaids to strut down the aisle with, but they are having a HUGE comeback. Parasols can be the perfect finishing touch to any outdoor wedding, as they fashionably protect you from the sun! These particular parasols made by, Pamela’s Parasols, are uniquely designed for anything from weddings to baby bumps!

David & Jamie : Married!!

David and Jamie tied the knot at a beautiful carnival extravaganza! This sunny day in June was picture perfect for a wedding. The Los Penasquitos Ranch House was an incredible outdoor venue for this summer day. They said their “I do’s”outside under a beautiful old tree. Their colors were a wide range of greens and turquoise, which were so bright and festive! Each table had Jones Sodas in a fun bucket of ice, lollipops in mason jars, and cute carnival toys. From games, caricature drawings, and photobooth snap shots to sangria, prizes, and adorable sack lunches this wedding truly depicted their "be a kid again" theme! Here are a few our favorite photographs from this wonderful day. We were so stoked to work with the rad folks at Dapper Images during this celebration of David and Jamie. They did the perfect job of capturing every beautiful detail. We wish David and Jamie all the love and joy that marriage brings!

Summer Love!

Wow! I can’t believe our last blog post was TWO months ago! Happy Summer to everyone! SO much has happened in the lives of Mr. & Mrs. I do. We have much to share about what we’ve been working on and who we’ve been working with in the world of weddings! All to come very soon, but this lovely piece just could not wait! One of my sweetest, most creative, dear friends (who also happens to be an inspiration to all things wedding), Merrill Melideo, has been working at Lovely Bridal Shop in NY. This adorable shop features the most unique and beautifully designed gowns out there! Now as wonderful as this is, the EXCITING news is that come Fall she will be helping in opening a Lovely Bridal Shop in LA!! I can’t wait to have her back close to us! She has been a HUGE inspiration to us and I can’t wait to see her inspire YOU in all of your wedding endeavors. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable summer full of sunshine and love. In light of Merrill and summer here are some of Merrill’s very own engagement pictures shot all the way back in 2009 by her amazingly talented hubby, Tim Melideo. All I can think of when I see these pictures is Summer Lovin’ at its FINEST!!

Mr. & Mrs. I do + Baby!

We have had an eventful past month!! Aside from planning weddings and all the fun that comes with that, we celebrated our first anniversary as husband and wife AND found out that we’ll be expecting our first baby in November! Wowza! Exciting news all around! Don’t be alarmed by my baby bump at our next meeting or wedding! Summertime wedding season is quickly approaching and we could not be more excited! So many blessings to speak of today.

Jamie & David!

We were so excited to meet with Jamie and David because they were our first couple to visit our new home! Jamie and David have an amazing story and we could not be more excited for this fun wedding celebration. They are having a carnival themed wedding (“be a kid again”). This vintage carnival themed vignette found on the Snippet and Ink blog did a great job of illustrating the vision for this wedding! This theme reflects their relationship because … Ready for the cutest story ever? … They were each other’s first boyfriend and girlfriend at 13, then 18 years later met up again, and are now getting hitched! What a unique and beautiful love story. The wedding will be held at Los Penasquitos Ranch House on June 26, 2011. We can’t wait!
